What is an SRT file?

An SRT (SubRip Subtitle) file is a plain-text file of numbered subtitle cues. Each cue has a number, a timing line such as 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:03,500, one or more lines of text, and a blank line before the next cue. Most video players and platforms accept it.

Can you format an existing transcript?

Yes. If your transcript already contains timing information, we can format it into a valid SRT file under the Transcript-to-SRT plan. If it has no timing, accurate timestamps require synchronization against the video.

Can you synchronize subtitles with a video?

Yes, when you provide the subtitle text and access to the video or audio (or a reliable timing reference). Accuracy depends on the source material and the agreed scope.

Do I need an existing transcript?

Yes. We currently work from text you supply. Transcription from audio is not currently offered.

Which formats are supported?

SubRip (.srt) is our primary deliverable. We also convert to and from WebVTT (.vtt). Other formats are only offered once we have implemented and tested conversion for them.

How is pricing calculated?

By service type, video duration, number of files, complexity, extra output formats and any rush request. The Pricing page shows the rules and a calculator. Every estimate is indicative until we review your materials, and the final price is confirmed in a written quotation before work begins.

What affects turnaround time?

Total duration, number of files, quality of the source materials, the type of work and our current workload. Your quotation states the delivery date we commit to.

Can you handle multiple files?

Yes. The Business Batch plan covers related files handled as one project, with consistent naming, a validation report and a delivery manifest.

Are revisions included?

One consolidated correction round is included for deviations from the agreed specification, reported within the review window stated in your quotation. Changes outside the original scope are quoted separately.

How are files delivered?

Electronically, through the channel agreed in your quotation — for example a secure, expiring download link, or a file-sharing location you designate.

How are customer files protected?

Uploaded files are stored privately, never as public web files, and are identified internally by random keys. Downloads use short-lived signed links, access is limited to people working on your project, and access events are logged. See the Privacy Policy for details.

Can international customers place orders?

We work with business customers in the United States and eligible international markets, subject to applicable law and our payment provider's supported countries. Prices are in USD.

What happens if a submitted file is malformed?

We tell you what is wrong. If it can be repaired within the quoted scope we repair it; if not, we explain the options — for example a revised quotation or a replacement file from you.

Can you guarantee transcription accuracy?

No. We do not transcribe audio, and our validation checks file structure and timing logic — not whether the words match what is spoken. Text accuracy depends on the transcript you supply.

What happens if a deadline changes?

Tell us as early as possible. We will confirm whether the new date is achievable; an earlier deadline may require a rush request and a revised quotation, which you approve before it applies.

How do cancellations and refunds work?

You can cancel before substantive work starts. After work starts, any refund reflects the work completed and the agreed terms. If a delivered file materially fails the agreed specification, we first try to correct it. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for the full process.
